I hope that you are well and appreciate you taking the time to read my letter. As you may know, I have been nominated for the Man of theYear by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We are making great progress towards our fundraising goal for the mission of LLS. You may ask why am I working to raise funds and continue the growing awareness for LLS. Here is my why: In January of 1994, the strongest man in my world was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Through
the miracle of modern medicine (at that time) we were blessed with 13 more years with my Dad. In that time, he was able to attend the weddings of all of three of his sons and get to hold two of his eight grandchildren. Although we wish we had more time with him. Through. the miracle of science and medicine and as a result of support from organizations like the LLS, we were given the gift of more time with my Dad. That is why the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is so near and dear to my
heart.
Despite the unsettling situation we currently face, we ask you to remember those who are dealing with other hardships, no less devastating and just as challenging We are talking about the cancer patients in our community and yours - family, friends, and co-workers. Our team is committed to ending this fight and ending this campaign in honor of these patients, families and caregivers that need us to rally for them too. Your support can help bring hope to those
fighting cancer and to honor those we have lost.
There is never a good time to be diagnosed with cancer, but it is ALWAYS a good time to fight it. We are committed to doing everything we can to fund research and provide support for cancer patients, NOW AND ALWAYS.
