UMAC Shrub Oak Monday 6/8 Virtual Classes

UMAC Families,

We hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Even though the UMAC Staff misses our students in person, we are endlessly grateful for technology and its ability to keep a great taekwondo relationship.

Here are some events coming up!!

Parent Yellow Belt Challenge: All parents who have not trained before will be given the opportunity to train for and graduate to their yellow belt at the end of the social distancing period. This is completely free. There will be a special class Mondays at 6:20pm for you.

We have now added multiple classes on the ZOOM class schedule. We are collaborating with Grand Master Berlow's team at the UMAC of Briarcliff location and all the UMACNATION locations are helping provide additional classes to have more options. You or your child may have the opportunity to train with our affiliate locations and their Instructors... so please give them the most respect and appreciation during the classes.

NOTE: We have three different ZOOM links on here with multiple classes being taught by UMAC Instructors from not only our four locations... but from the other UMACNATION schools... so please look at this schedule below... we are adding and modifying classes DAILY!

Everyone will need to download ZOOM app on their computer, tablet or phone

Instructions:

Click the link for your class
Turn on your camera at the bottom left of the screen
Make sure your microphone is on
Train as if you were at UMAC
Be in uniform if you are a Tae Kwon Do student
Please make sure you write your name or the students name in the ZOOM log in so the Instructor can refer to him or her
Press the start video button to access your devices camera

Each class and day is a separate ZOOM meeting link... so please press on the link button below for your class.

Each day we will send new links for each class!

TUITION & PAYMENTS

As you know, we are a small business and rely on the tuition to cover the operational expenses, paying staff, mortgage, vans, etc. If there is any possibility to continue paying your membership dues for the time being, we would be extremely grateful.

Here is what we are doing to continue to provide value to your UMAC families:

We have been offering rank specific LIVE online training classes so you could continue your martial arts progression. All classes are taught by the UMAC Master’s and Grandmasters that our team has been diligently teaching 10-15 classes a day.

We have also been collaborating with Grand Master Melella and the UMAC Carmel, Fishkill, Newburgh and Lagrange teams to share additional classes and times giving more options for all students to take classes.
We will offer additional belt specific training/classes once we are allowed to re-open.
We gave everyone access to all our UMAC curriculum training videos that you can access and practice from home when LIVE ZOOM classes are not being taught.
Please let me clarify... this access IS NOT the live ZOOM meeting classes that we are teaching! This is another additional feature for you and your family to practice their curriculum and stay current with their belt requirements. The login information is listed above.
We are offering 15 minute Private lessons by appointment only.
All students who are taking LIVE ZOOM classes will be allowed to graduate with our virtual ZOOM graduation that will be held this month.

Basically, we will do whatever we need to do to keep UMAC an important part of your life. We are hoping that with this extensive online training you and your family will not miss a beat in your training.

However, if you are in dire need of us to suspend your payments, we will do so as soon as we receive the membership change form that is attached to this email.

However, please give the ZOOM meeting classes a try. You will be happily surprised on how awesome it is.

If you truly need to put your membership on hold... we understand and please fill out the attached Membership change form.

Private Lessons!

We have added Senior Instructor Carr in for Thursday Privates! He is available between 1-3 pm for one on one lessons!

We also ask that your child work on our Incentive Programs to make sure they continue to develop the martial arts values.

Basic Program Students (white uniform) can do the Citizenship Program or the Martial Arts Reading Program

Black Belt Club Students (blue uniform) can do the Personal Power Program or the Code of the Dragon Program
