Dear UMAC Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and everyone you care about are safe and healthy. I know this has been a very difficult time for all and would like to thank all of our UMAC families for the opportunity to teach and serve throughout the Pandemic. I am writing this letter to inform our families what our protocols will be in the unfortunate event of another COVID shut down.
When shut down in March, we were on the defensive and our team did an amazing job rolling out our virtual platform in just four days. Now, we are on the offensive and will have a plan ready to roll just in case. Of course, we hope things don’t come to this, however, if they do, we’re prepared!
Since we reopened in July, we have continued to run a full fledged virtual platform that runs parallel to the live class schedule. With that said, all students who have been attending live classes will seamlessly be able to attend the virtual classes designed for your age and rank at the same days and times. In addition to regular classes, we will be adding…
- 15 minute virtual private lessons (First come/first serve)
- Virtual specialty workshops
- Virtual special events (Forms tournament already scheduled for Dec 11)
Virtual School Support will operate as normal:
We are a NY Licensed School Aged Child Care program and will be able to continue offering the V.S.S. (Virtual School Support) as an essential business in both the Briarcliff and Shrub Oak locations. If you should need your children to be in a safe area while they are in virtual school, our team has mastered the art of social distancing and being safe. We are here to provide the VSS Program to all of you. Limited space is available so please let
us know if and when it is something you are in need of.
We need your help, please:
We will continue to provide classes for all of our UMAC families and will not miss a beat. Therefore, we ask that families continue to pay tuition in the event of a second shut down. We are a small business and rely on the tuition to operate our facilities and continue to pay our hard working staff. For after-school students, we will suspend after-school students the next billing cycle and any funds paid during a shut down will be credited
for the future. Virtual School Support payments will continue as normal.
Of course, it is our sincere hope that there isn’t a mandatory closure, however, we wanted to let all of our families know that we are ready and able to continue UMAC programs throughout whatever comes our way.
Thank you for your continued support.
