UMAC Shrub Oak Weekly Updates for March 13th

Published: Mon, 03/13/17

Happy Birthday Master Berlow!

Today, March 13th is Master Chris Berlow's birthday. He is a true example of strength, commitment and discipline. As his son, I am honored to have such a positive role model who constantly inspires me to be the best I can be. He is the reason why we are all training at UMAC Shrub Oak today, and for that I am grateful beyond belief.

Weekly Focus: Review  Week

Next week:  Sparring Week (Bring Gear)

Kick of the Week:  Roundhouse Kick

Hello Everyone, Hope you had a great weekend! This past week of classes, we had a main focus of our Self Defense Curriculum. All students looked outstanding and definitely made progress towards their green stripes. The basic boxing drilling in our adult classes also went great, just remember to keep your hands up! For the Dragons, they did a great job learning their front stances and now it is time to work towards their white stripes.  I wanted to also congratulate our students, Jacob Acevedo, Ryan Dey and Karen Dey for qualifying for the March graduation as the first graduates of UMAC Shrub Oak!

This week we focus on reviewing all areas of our curriculum. It is important to take a step back and review everything that is learned so that you feel comfortable and ready to move to the next level.
