Congratulations to all UMAC Black Belt Graduates!
Over the weekend, students from all UMAC schools drove to Hugenot, NY to participate in the 2020 Quest for Mastery weekend retreat and black belt testing. The theme of the weekend was "Are you a champion or a contender?"
Grand Master Berlow and Melella spent the weekend explaining and developing the theme through inspirational talks, training and workshops.
The goal of our retreats is to give a memorable experience to all participants so that they can take that information and help them find success in any area of life. These weekend are not just for black belt candidates, but for students that want to take their training to the next level and see the bigger picture of UMAC Nation's worthy ideal.
Early registration for the 2020 Warrior Weekend Retreat has begun! Register by February 29th and receive $100 off your registration. You can register online or in person. There will be a link at the bottom of this email.
UMAC Shrub Oak will be closed Saturday 2/15 and Monday 2/17 due to Presidents Weekend. We will be back on for Tuesday 2/18 to kickstart the Winter Recess Camp!
UMAC Referral Contest
Message from Master Berlow
Dear Parents and Families,
As you may know, a few months ago we launched a referral contest puzzle where you can pull a piece by referring a new member to our school. So far, it has been great! We have had multiple students earn some prizes such as a UMAC hoodie, UMAC beanie, new uniform, free graduation, private lesson with Master Berlow and we had one student even earn a FREE WEEKEND RETREAT!
We want to take it to another level and make it something that not only helps us spread martial arts values to more children and families, but also raise money for a great cause!
Last year, my father was nominated and won the title of Man of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by raising over $109,000 towards finding a cure to end cancer. This year, we have 3 Instructors (Instructor Shah, Glaser and Rosu) in our Briarcliff location that are running for Student of the Year. They are on a mission to raise $30,000 for the next 6 weeks. I am blown away by their selflessness and determination
to make the world a better place!
To help raise the money, we are donating 100% of the money charged for a 3 class trial membership over the next 6 weeks!
If you know anyone that could benefit from martial arts or kickboxing, please send them to us. If they register for a 3 class trial, the $20 cost will be donated to the Student of the Year Campaign. If your friend registers for classes officially, you will be able to pull a puzzle piece and win a prize!

If you run out of referral sheets, feel free to ask for another copy! You can give it to any of your friends that would like to take advantage.
In class you will receive a referral sheet and a packet with information on our annual Breakathon/ Championship. More prizes to be won, all money goes towards a great cause!
Thank you for your continued support of our vision to impact the community through martial arts values!
Sincerely,
Master T Berlow
